Another problem is that children are getting more and more addicted to the Internet.
Nowadays parents haven't got much time, they are very busy, want to make a career and that's why they neglect their children. Computer games become your child best friend. I think that they just don't know how to spend their leisure time differently.
Inappropriate use of the Internet can be really harmful to your child. He is exposed to depression, anxiety and even phobias. Your child can also have a real probem with personality and relationships.So...what should we do to protect our children in the virtual world?
The first thing you can do is to encourage your child to use educational and precious websites. You should preview it before to gain some knowledge about it. Then you can introduce these interesting sites your child and use convincing arguments that these wbesites are worth seeing.
You should know thet enabling parental controls and deploying an Internet filter helps prevent access to most of the pornographic sites. I think it is necessary to check what kind of files your child download. Then you can make sure that there is nothing suspicious. According to me the most important clue should be the fact that if you love your child you must not only be a parent but also a friend! Show him that you are really interested in what he is doing and share your suggestions and work together. The technology is everywhere around us! We cannot avoid it. We have to learn how to use it skilfully and don't stay behind. Achievements of tehnology can be very useful and also help your child at school.
But you must remember...do not ignore the danger!
